Remembering those whom gave their lives beneath our flag, in service of our freedom. And to those men and women still fighting, we owe a special thanks. Let us not forget those families that have lost or has a loved one currently serving or enlisted in the arm services for their courageous efforts and allegiance.

It's one of the most significant holidays this country celebrates (along with Memorial Day)... & yet the majority of people show little or no respect for the men & women who've risked their lives for all of us, who take our freedom for granted.
At least, this year, after years of lackluster attendance, the parade for vets held in NYC had a very sizable crowd of onlookers showing their appreciation as the soldiers marched by.
It was nice to see.
One.
My father was a commissioned Air Force officer, a graduate of Tuskegee; and my son is in the Army National Guard right now. My grandfather, my brother, some of my uncles, cousins and the two men I was named after all served.
Military service is something to be applauded and I have much respect for those that gave or risked all for the freedoms we enjoy in this country.
God bless them all!!!
